Dear Reg:
I'm a little confused. You identified the position in question as your opinion in the psalmody piece itself. Now it would seem to me if you are going to take the step of publishing such as your opinion that you also be willing to defend it, particularly when you identify not following "your" advice as sin. So I'm disappointed in you that when questioned you deferred to your session regarding something you are immediately responsible for (I would like to know if the session also agrees with your use of Calvin and Bradford in the piece, where you make it appear they endorse your position when they don't. Calvin "specifically" does not.).
If your session is going get this "difference" on the docket for February 96 Presbytery, then I don't see the point in carrying-on a secondary correspondence on this subject with your session (nor I suspect would they - and I would be at a considerable disadvantage!). Your action was the occasion of my writing, not theirs.
You may certainly pass on copies of my letters to your elders. I have sent copies to mine.
Saddened at the passing of Dr. Bahnsen,
Chris Coldwell
