Controversy
Correspondence

The conversation ends here with the January 9 1997 post from Greg Price. This is because Richard Bacon chose not to continue correspondence with a church that would on the one hand insist they want to "dialogue" while at the same time undermine the integrity of the RPC Presbytery by convincing others to leave. The remaining elders of the RPC in their Presbytery meeting of February 9, 1997 ruled the following:

Under item #8 (old business), the fifth action was "It was m/s/passed UC, that the Puritan Reformed Church of Edmonton not be seated at future meetings of Presbytery until such time as repentance is manifested for their disavowal of Presbytery's lawful authority"

Under item #8 (old business), the sixth action was "It was m/s/passed UC, that Messrs. Robinson, Crick, and Price be informed that per their own requests their ministerial credentials are revoked with this branch of Christ's church in accordance with the RPC manual of practice, Appendix X.2.(15), p. 210. They are further encouraged to return to their former presbyteries and seek their forgiveness if their purported cases of conscience are genuine. The clerk is instructed to inform them of our action."
