To the list:

Thus far GG's introduction has not sparked much discussion. I
must admit that it has not been especially controversial up to
now. However, in the next section, GG will attempt to begin to
prove his position. It is my intention, unless we get a LOT of
traffic today, to post sections 7 to 9 tomorrow morning (May 2nd)
so y'all can cogitate over the weekend and come up with some
good posts for Monday AM.

Here are a few things to watch for in the upcoming posts: in post
7, GG makes use of an interesting term, "moral equity." The term
is also used by Samuel Rutherfurd in his _Free Disputation Against
Pretended Liberty of Conscience_. Keep the idea of moral
equity in mind as we continue in sections 8 and 9. Sections 8 and
9 are key passages in WS in determining the author's idea of how
the judicials of the OT apply to the magistrate in the present
era.

There is much material (and food for thought) in these three
upcoming posts, but I want to post them together so you will have
a feel for the entire "flow" of the argument that GG calls the
argument "from the law (Deut. 13:6-9)."
